How It Works

Shared Work, Shared Discovery

The The Kinship & Memory Genetic Cooperative is built on the principle that collective research produces breakthroughs no individual could achieve alone. Members pool names, DNA data, and archival findings into a shared matrix that guides every inquiry.

Whether you are a beginner with only your grandparents' names or an experienced genetic genealogist with a fully mapped genome, there is a place for you in the cooperative.

Fees cover modest operational costs and are kept low so that cost is never a barrier to participation.

Submit Names

Start by contributing the first names of your parents and grandparents to the database.

Upload DNA Data

Join the Gedmatch research group and compare against the Watkins DNA matrix.

Collaborate

Work with other members to triangulate matches and break through brick walls.
