Who We Are

The Kinship & Memory Genetic Cooperative is a community-driven genealogical research cooperative. We pool genetic data, archival resources, and research labor to advance collective understanding of kinship, migration, resistance, and cultural memory.

Membership and Participation

• Membership tiers are described on our Membership page. Fees, where applicable, cover modest operational costs.
• You must provide accurate information when joining, completing a research intake, or contacting us.
• Participation is voluntary. You may withdraw or request deletion of your information at any time, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Your Contributions

By submitting names, DNA information, documents, oral histories, or other materials to the cooperative, you represent that you have the right to share those materials. You grant us permission to use submitted information for genealogical research, internal analysis, and cooperative reports, always in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any additional consent you provide.

Research Limitations

Genealogical and DNA research involves uncertainty. We do not guarantee specific results, identification of ancestors, or resolution of brick walls. All findings are presented as evidence-based conclusions subject to revision as new information becomes available.

Confidentiality and Consent

We handle your information with strict confidentiality. No personal or genealogical information is shared publicly without your explicit written consent. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials you create.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the website or services for unlawful purposes.
• Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information about yourself or others.
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or interfere with our systems or other users' accounts.
• Use information obtained through the cooperative to harass, discriminate against, or harm any individual or group.

Intellectual Property

Website content, including text, graphics, and research methodology descriptions, is owned by or licensed to us. You may view and share links for personal, non-commercial use. Republication or commercial use requires our written permission.
